Pre production – The Journey of care

The group used Rob, the character they had created, to create a timeline of his life in care. They renamed him “Charlie”. This would help us create scenes which we would shoot for the film. The group set about telling Charlie’s story…

They chose to start the timeline in Charlie’s life before it changed and he went into care. The group worked together as a team to draw it on a roll of paper…

The group decided that one night the police got involved and Charlie was taken away from a difficult situation. He was feeling confused and upset and was then taken to a placement. The group decided he didn’t like it there and after running away a few times Charlie was moved to a placement he felt more safe and where he built self esteem.
